ABI Maschinenfabrik acquires 70% of Scandinavian Pile Driving
Weibull M&A acted as sell side advisor when ABI Maschinenfabrik und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH acquired 70% of the shares in Scandinavian Pile Driving SPD AB.
Scandinavian Pile Driving SPD AB has manufactured drilling and piling machines together with equipment especially made for use together with excavators since 2003. SPD AB has become one of the strongest drill rig suppliers and service suppliers in Sweden the recent years and is now planning to focus more on the export market.
Magnus Andersson stays in SPD AB as managing director and 30% owner and is looking forward to the progress together with ABI. ABI has been manufacturing high quality rigs especially for the foundation business since the start in the middle of the 70´s. The ABI Gruppe represents the brands, ABI, DELMAG, BANUT and INTEROC.
The SPD products are an ideal complement to the ABI Gruppe products and ABI is looking forward to the common future from which both companies benefit.
